I'm sorry to say this but, I can atleast take confort in knowing I'm not the the first and will not be the last to say this, but DeviantArt one of the greatest Art Community sites and one of my favorite sites of all time ... is slowly losing the factors that made it a art site...

I've seen alot of amazing pieces on this site and unfortunately, seen more people get recognized with followers and favorites if they do a few anime fan pieces (aka draw the person for about a hour scan it and upload)

Free?? I must have it!!!
Another thing is that more people are using this site for just resources. With a legion of empty profile (Definition: a profile made quickly so that person can download a psd or brush set) it puts into question "How many active profiles are actually watching you?" .

I've seen this happen to a increasingly large amount of talented artist... and it gets to me...

Clients...
There is a old saying that goes, for every 10 clients you get 2 at most will be as good a client as you hoped them to be...

This is a client that I delt with on other projects, prior to dealing to this site... which resulted with me forgetting lessons I've learned over the years, pretty much letting him steer the whole project and I became the screwdriver... long story short I worked on the site for almost 4 months pouring countless hours into it with millions of revisions,  and hollow promises of payment... I was stupid now he is getting a different designer to work on it, took my name off the site( there is a mention that says in affiliation with spinx designs, when my company is called sage arts on the screen for 2 seconds), and still no payment... that was almost a year ago...

When I moved to Florida this was my first design job I could find in that state... long story short, they put me on a internship where I was still doing the same work for free, after I had worked for them for 2 months paid, saying I would get paid after 2 weeks or so... when I finished my time the owner told me he couldn't pay me and I  was fired ... once again ... I was stupid

But all I can say is we learn from our mistakes and we live on... always remember NO ONE gets into art for the money ... when it comes down to it, all designers will experience situations like these were we forget ourselves and worry about the money more the art... remember you are a artist not a scewdriver... you are not another individual 's tool to make their horrible idea of a design come true, they picked you because of your talent, besides if they knew more about design then you... they wouldn't hire you... and if they think they do, then you drop the project...

got a fast desktop, getting a tablet, and ready to design, who wants to collab?

Due to my secondary profession, Im going to be in the ROK for a while (South Korea). So far its nice, good food, here with good friends and overall good weather... (gets really cold)

In a brighter note; Desktops are cheap to built out here so I might build a new rigg, and also I'm looking for a good webhost, any advice?

Some of you already know, but I'm back online... I have a droid so atleast I can type... will be desigining again soon... I miss designing...
